This seems tough to learn! 
I walk business owners through the entire process with hands-on training, personalized video tutorials and documentation.  I'm also available for questions which is a big help.

How is this different than Yahoo and other "site builders" with a WYSIWYG editor? 
Many sites that offer you the ability to "build your own website" lack interactive features.  You are able to post 3-5 pages about your company, an email address and a few photos; the end.  You usually get little or no support.  Have access to thousands of developers and community members for support by selecting a website build on Joomla ro Wordpress.

I don't know any of this web stuff, will you teach me?

What are the websites built on?
 Two favorite platforms are Wordpress and Joomla,  They are both easy to work in and are optimized for search engines.

I don't want to redesign my entire website, how could I try your services?  
How about a blog?  We simply add an extra navigation item leading to your new business blog.  It's a great first step and I offer business blogs built on Wordpress starting at $200. 

Are there other things that don't require a website redesign?  
A shopping cart, photo gallery or event calendar could be added the same way as the blog.  I work with clients to integrate, audit and evaluate existing systems.

Can you build me a website in Photoshop? 
Well, Photoshop is for image editing.  Although it's not used directly to make websites, a lot of the look can be created there as well as logos.  Creating a stylish, dynamic website full of content and features is the goal.  This will keep visitors interested and returning for increased sales.

What is your experience in website design? 
I hand code html and have a detailed understanding of backend design layout.  I registered my first domain in 1999 and am active several online tech communities.  I have a strong working knowledge DNS management for primary and subdomains which is an important network and internet protocol.  I enjoy reading through log files. 

Can't a Graphic Designer or Marketing person build me a website? 
When I talk with clients and make recommendations, I talk as a "builder" who is creating the foundation for a new structure.  I consider ease of use, security, scalability and a modular design to allow growth.  I think Graphic Designers speak from the aspect of how things "look" and Marketing folks speak to the "ROI revenue" portion; each which fall short of the actual user experience while using the web application.  Security is often overlooked by non-technical consultants who implement blogs.

How is this different than hiring a big name website design firm in town? 
The unique quality I bring to the table is that I'm agile; If a client has something already setup or wants to try something new, I'm able to adapt and help them reach their technology goals.  My approach is to empower my clients so that they don't need to depend on me for every change, edit and update.  I take care of the function and security so they're free to run their business.  This also allows me to provide customized services and better pricing than large marketing and technical firms.

Wordpress, Joomla and OSCommerce run on a LAMP stack platform (Linux, Apach, MySQL and PHP).  I've been working in this environment since 2003 installing, configuring, maintaining and tweaking apps like:
