Every day small business owners use email. As the world of business continues to expand online Microsoft will be retiring Windows 2000 server July 13th, 2010 so this means no more security updates will be issued. It also means business owners running Microsoft Exchange will need to look at replacing their email system. Recommendation For companies with less than 20 staff, I recommend Google Apps. Microsoft Exchange requires ongoing maintenance. Ask anyone who has had a mail server crash or stop sending email. Microsoft Exchange in a small business environment is often cumbersome and complex. Even "simple" changes like someone changing their last name when they get married become a nightmare to figure out for the average business person.
